Khao Yai has some of the most distinctive luxury resorts in Thailand outside the beach destinations. Many are built on large rural estates, which gives them space for gardens, vineyards, golf and long views to the mountains. This guide covers full-service resorts. If a private pool is your priority, see private luxury pool villas or our main pool villa resort guide.

What to expect from a luxury resort in Khao Yai

Compared with beach resorts, Khao Yai’s luxury properties lean towards countryside living: farm-to-table menus, wine from local vineyards, fireplaces or outdoor fires in the cool season and activities such as cycling, golf or guided nature walks. Most are a 15 to 40 minute drive from the national park gate.
